Concept albums about the inner life.
Brian 200 makes concept albums about the inner life. Spiritual practice, changing work, identity and the things people leave unsaid become records with a question running through them.
The sound changes with the subject: devotional electronic music, dusty trip-hop, blues and guitar-led songs. Each album follows its question across a complete emotional arc.
Brian 200 is Brian Crumrine's artist project on the Brian 404 label. Brian is also a software engineer. On 404: Soul Not Found?, that work becomes the subject: an album about AI and a changing job, made with the thing changing it.
The search continues.
200 OK is an HTTP success response. 404 is not found. Brian 200 sits within Brian 404: success and not-found, with the search continuing between them.
The Chakra Odyssey turns chakra imagery and devotional music into an electronic record. 404: Soul Not Found? follows the changing shape of work in the first person. Before I Was Anyone brings original songwriting to ideas inspired by A Course in Miracles.
Each new chapter extends the project. A change in sound doesn't erase the earlier records.
Lyrics, notes and how the records are made.
The album and track pages carry the lyrics, the arc of each record and its production credits. Selected lyric pages are also on Genius. The notes reward closer attention, and the credits describe the human and AI contributions to each release.
